We are always happy for people to become involved in helping the school. This is especially true of parents. Listed below are a number of ways in which you could help us:
Parent governors help influence the way the school is run. On the governing body there are a range of people from the local authority and the local community but, in many ways, the most important member are the parents. This is because your son attends the school and you will have a view on how well the school is meeting their needs and the needs of other pupils attending the school. There are three parents governors, if you are interested in being a parent governor please contact Jenny Earle, Home / School Liaison Worker or Mr McGlashan, Head Teacher, who can talk to more about what is involved. Hope to hear from you.
Two of the most positive ways in which parents and carers can become involved in the school is by attending their child’s Annual Review Meeting and the annual Parents Evening. Both meetings are friendly and an opportunity to come into school to talk about how your son is getting on.
From time to time we hold fund raising events. These are usually for the school in Busumbala, Gambia. They have been race nights, live bands and a Ceilidh. Tickets are always reasonably prices, usually between £2 and £5. It’s a great way to meet the staff and parents in a relaxed setting.
If so please contact us via the "Contact Us" page on this website or via phone. We would be very happy to hear from you.
